I have a quick question. I've been looking at buying a1996 t bird that needs the starter clutch replaced. i can get it for about $1500. Is it worth it or should I keep looking? Anyone have any idea how much that is to fix?

Looking at other posts in here and the prices for TB's I'd say you couldn't go wrong.

I did the starter clutch myself.
Not that hard, but it is a lot of time consuming work.
If you are so inclined that could be a hell of a deal.

My two local dealers wanted $1100 to $1300 to do the job. So even if you have it done at a dealer you'r still into it for less than $3000. Consider how many miles and other maint. it needs but it sounds like a decent deal to me.
