Mick has a good point. You should change the brake fluid (and hydraulic clutch slave cylinder fluid) every 3 years or so. The fluid collects water and becomes less effective. If you let it go too long, it could start corroding the guts of your brake system.
Do a color check; look in the sight glass on the master cylinder, and if the fluid is darker brown, change it right away, also bleeding it out of the calipers. While you are at it, clean your calipers well w/ brake cleaner.
