yeah, I have been searchin past posts about highway bars and pegs but just got more confused. Seems easier just to ask again-please if ya don't mind...
-Does anyone have highway pegs on their 1999 Adventurer?
-Where can I buy them?
Not looking for something that requires a lot of alteration, or customizing. Just need to stretch my legs while riding and have some place "forward" to rest my feet.

Thanks guys!!!

Joe

I bought highway pegs from Baxter Cycle last year and just went on a week long trip where they were awesome. I am a bit over 6' tall and need to stretch out now and then. They don't have the pegs listed on their site but you can email them and ask. They bolt on to the motor mount on the frame. You just need to jack the engine to keep it in place as you do each side. It took me an hour to do but only because I was fiddling around. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

To check them out look at my photo album or just click here...

My buddy just ordered and installed a set of highway pegs from British USA in Houston ( www.british-usa.com)
They mount to the upper front motor mounts, near the radiator.

Ma's Cycles used to advertise them on their website but I couldn't find them anymore. There also used to be a shop online who built forward controls!! but I believe they're not doing that anymore. Not enough demand..

Hi Tom,

Those pegs look good. What's the cost? The Great Bay setup is $245 which is a little dear for my current wallet dimensions.

Thanks

I got them for $195 dollars. They listed for more than that but they had a storewide sale. I asked if I get a discount and they said sure.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I just ordered the ones from www.greatbaymotorcycles.com because I liked the way they mounted(and looked) -vs- the ones that hang down off the motor mounts from Baxter Cycles. True, these are $50.00 more, but these also include the drill, taps and drilling jig to attach to the lugs on the engine. The response and customer service from Great Bay is incredible!!! I had an almost immediate reply from them when I emailed them an inquiry. I emailed Baxter a couple days ago (prior to learning about the ones from Great Bay) for pricing- and I am still waiting!!!
P.S!!! Great Bay is currently offering FREE SHIPPING on any order over $200.00

Just thought you'd like to know!

thanks,
