Hi folks; looking at a 2001 Legend; hope I am in the right forum....any known problems; also, did Triumph make any luggage and windshields for this bike? I went to the Triumph accessories page and they do NOT show a screen or bags for the 2001 model, just earlier years?? thanks, Dogdoc :???:

problems (many!)but if you have a warranty youre in luck oil leaks, bad coils, staters ,inner oil breather seal can leak(like mine did )transmissions notchy, waterpumps sometimes, electrical shorts, but nothing major and the saddlebags and 2 types of windshields are still available for legend and tbird

Overall they are a reliable bike, the engine is pretty much bulletproof. There are a couple of issues that can crop up with the ignition system, but other than that they are up there with the best. You will be unlikely to be disappointed. Very occasionally there is an odd bike which will have problems but these are very few and far between.

Yes they made windshields and luggage, both AFAIK are still available (ignore the years on Triumph's site, they are all the same!) but as the bike has been dicontinued you will need to snap them up sooner rather than later.
