Anyone know if a rear shock from a 2001 955i will fit on a 99 Legend? I'm assuming no, but if anyone has both bikes can they take a look and see if it looks like they're in the right ballpark? I have a line on a potential cheap upgrade...

Jerm,
The two are not compatible, apart from probably being different lengths and much different rates the bottom linkage and mounting on the Daytona is totally different from the Legend.

Just remember; an awful lot of the free advice you will get on forums is worth exactly what you paid for it. There will always be somebody trying to convince you to do something really stupid, just because they did it or want to do it.

That's what I figured. In the pics they looked similar (although the 955 looks shorter), so I thought it might work. Thanks!
