Since we got another 2 inches of snow last night I felt forced to look for alternatives.
I found this: Hawks.

Now if that doesn't look like fun...I don't know what does.

Some years ago I was at work on a winters afternoon, and noticed snow falling outside. Just at this point two motorcycle cops came into the canteen next to my office. I went over and asked them how the state of the road was heading West, as I was due to finish work in about an hour, and make my way home on my old Kawa GT750. No problem said the guys, roads are black out there and this snow's not going to come to anything. An hour and ten minutes later I was dodging jack-knifing lorries on a fecking ice rink. Wind chill was around -40 and the penguins at Glasgow Zoo were on strike cos it was so piggin cold. My extremities were number than Wayne Bobbit's winkie. I got home, feck knows how, having cheated death umpteen times. T'aint the snow or ice that get's ye, its the feckin car drivers. I looked like a cross between the Michelin Man and Nanook of the North. I have a long driveway up to my house. I was just turning into the drive and allowed myself a passing thought of pride at having so skillfully got myself home safely, hit a drift on my drive, and fell off. :whoops: :whoops: Wish I'd had a snow Hawk....

Respect. Oh, and buy a sidecar outfit. This where Cossacks/ Ural things work ever so good. There's been many a time when I said " I can do that". When I couldn't.
