I have the Roadster screen on my '96 Adventurer and it is great under about 60mph. However, at about 65, the turbulence off the top is smacking my head around pretty good and by 75-80 it is to the point of unbearable. It also requires me to wear the full-face helmet for any highway rides -- please don't start another helmet war!.
I have heard of a plastic component that can be added to the top of the screen to lift the turbulence by a few inches. This may be enough but I haven't been able to find any reliable info on manufacturers or personal experiences (other than the laminar lip and I am concerned that would look really bad).
Does anyone have info or experience with additions to the top of the roadster screen?
TIA
Ken

Well, while "working" I think I found the product I was hearing about. It is called Stealth Edging by SAENG/TA. It is a rubber strip that mounts around the edge of the screen and they promise to push up the buffeting height by 4". Unfortunately it is black so it might be ugly -- however, it is a lot cheaper than just taking a chance on a different screen so I think I will be giving them a call.
If anyone has thoughts or info on this, I am still eager to hear about them. Once I get the product, I will post a review of how it works.

Hi Ken. I haven't used their product but I plan on trying their edging out on my 98 Sprint Executive for the same reason, head buffeting.
Here is the specific product I want to try..

Hi Von,
FYI I just called them and they won't have stock until May 20 or so. They are supposed to send me an email when it comes in.
Thanks for the info

Let us know when you do get it and try it. I have the Roadster screen as well, and I don't notice too much buffeting, but I get some above about 70, and would try that product if it works for you.
Thanks,
Monte

I was reading a thread somewhere on this site about windscreen setup and adjustment, but I haven't looked at mine close enough yet to see if that can be done.
Ken, you recently installed yours, so what do you say?
I don't seem to get bothersome buffeting with mine, but I do wear a full-face helmet all the time. My helmet is noisy anyway since it has the flip up front, so I may not really notice the turbulence.
I believe that SAENG/TA product is quite expensive isn't it?

What about the Laminar Lip? Has anyone tried it? It looks ugly as sin, but if it works . . .

Hi Bob,
No adjustments on the stock roadster screen; it bolts on and that is it. I believe the adjustment threads are all on aftermarkets. I am going to try a small National Cycle screen while waiting for the other stuff to come in (it is something like $12,90 per foot so, isn't so bad but, not free).
I think the issue with the shield may have to do with height. I am about 5' 11" and I believe if I was 5' 9" or so I would be down low enough to be out of most of it. Similarly, if the main road I travel to/from work didn't have an average speed of 80mph, I would probably be fine as well as 65-70 is o.k.

I bought some of the SAENG/TA “Stealth Edging” they call it, for my old bike – but never installed it. I’ve got 36” of the stuff still in the box from SAENG/TA. If anyone is interested I’ll sell it. PM me at my email address.

I have it on my windscreen and it is good, they'll give you your money back if you don't like it. It's like 8 bucks a foot, so I figured what the hell. IT fits very well. Crimp it on gingerly. I am not tall enough. if you stand up slightly on the pegs it's almost a vacuum above it. I have tried it on both Triumph shields and ride most of the time without the shields on. I wear a full face as well, but the turbulence over the edge is miserable. Very poor design. If I can help anymore, let me know.
