Sometime back, I read somewhere that Triumph were producing only 150 '04 Thunderbird Sports. When I called around to check on availability, that assertion was reinforced by the fact that no dealer I spoke to had seen more than one '04 TBS.

Well, I bought one and it I'd be honored to kick off the first and probably only annual survey to find out 1) Are there only 150 of these bikes in the US (or the World?)? 2) Have they all been sold? and 3) Where do they live? OK, not all Triumph owners frequent Triumphrat.net, but that's their problem.

So here goes:

I was told the same story back in January when I bought mine. My dealer only had the one.

Not sure if it is exactly correct but I do take delight in telling people that it is1 of only 150.

I've got one, purchased 6 weeks ago at Calmoto in Mountain View, California. They had two '03s a month before that and sold them, one to my wife. I didn't ask if they were getting any more '04s.

Number 7!

I took delivery one month ago in Brussels. It was also the only one in stock. I haven't seen any other '04 TBS in Belgium yet.

PS : The TBS rides smoother than my Yamaha XJR1300 (especially in curves); I really don't miss the power.
