Spent the day on the mainland with the wife and kids looking at all the new offerings. The show was great and absolutely packed. Tons of people and all manufacturers INCLUDING Triumph. Saw the D675, Scrambler etc. in the flesh so to speak. My MRS. wants her own bike so I showed her the goods and she is stuck between the Thrux and a T100 Bonnie (would like some pink on it though).
We all had a great day and here are a few pics if you are interested.
John.

Ya Greaser, Mike was tring to sell me on one of the 05 Thruxs they have for my wife. Good price, but the clipons seem a bit low for her to be comfortable. And you are right about that triple sound and power is just right!
Do you live on the Island?

RE: The new triumph scrambler

The new scrambler looks a lot like the old Honda 350 scrambler that was my third bike back in 1972. The problem at that time with those upswept pipes was that it was impossible to change the air filter without removing the pipes. Don't know if the case is similar here but that would be a pain for a long lived bike. Sometimes I think the engineers never actually have to use the products they design
