Just spent a great Sunday riding the roads of Derbyshire - called into Matlock Bath (famous Sunday spot for bikers). Out of several hundred bikes parked up only a few Triumph's i.e. 1 Thunderbird (mine), 1 Legend, 1 Bonneville America.

It's good not having a bike that's as common as **** (there was loads of Harley's) but it would also be nice to meet other TB riders. Ahyone know of any locally based ride outs ?

I too had a great time out on the bike today, riding the back roads of Dorset,Wiltshire and the New Forest.

If you ever get down this way head for Poole on a tuesday evening.
Every Tuesday until end of September at the Quay side is bike night. Bikes from all over come and just fill the Quay side.
t's great and the law stays to themselves as it marshalled with the blessing of Poole town.

Any thing goes as they say from trikes/bikes and last year even a moped turned up

Bob, is Stratford on Avon within striking distance for you?
It's the place to be on a Sunday (so they tell me).

My local hangout is Box Hill in Surrey

I also had a great run out on Sunday, Lots of sunshine, went from the Rame Peninsular (SE Cornwall) to Bude and a few other places. Dry, traffic free roads (more bikes than cars). Good company (wife as pillion).
Only down side was the number of dead flys on the visor, I had to clean it several times but at least it makes a change from rain.

Thanks Slinky, Stratford will be a nice ride from here on some good roads and through nice country. I will give it a try.

Cheers
Bob

Hear hear, as you can guess I ride an '02 Thunderbird and couldn't agree more. There doesn't appear to be any single club that caters for riders of our style of bike. I can only suggest that you try and find a local branch of the RAT Pack, but be prepared to be one of a kind as I am in my branch.
