Advice on what year T'Bird ?

I'm starting to look for a 1998-2005 T'Bird. Other than age, any one year better than the other ? Thanks

The earlier bikes had neat stuff like a lockable seat and alloy wheel rims, whilst the later bikes had Keihin carbs, 6 gears and powder coated barrels and crankcases. My wife has an '03 model, which I think was the last year of production. I'd go for a late model myself, although they're all good! The build quality on these bikes is way beyond the standards of the current Triumph's IMHO. Find a tidy, well looked after example and you won't go far wrong!

I don't think the year of the classic tripple that you buy matters as much as the color, it seems that red and yellow are the faster ones.

I beg to differ sir. In '04 they made the black with yellow paint. They found that those colors were they fastest possible combination. Since they couldn't get the bike any faster then that color combo they decided that would be the last year they would make them.

Correct, so get a '05 as they are extremely rare...

rarer still...the year 2000 TBS...a.k.a. the dream cicle. White and Orange. Perhaps not as fast as the Black and Yellow one. But it does turn heads.
