97 HP Legend

Has anybody seen the 97 hp, 400# Legend on ebay? I have inquired how he did that without changing anything "internally" in the engine. Should be interesting......tommyturbo2

From the Q&A

"all internals are stock" but it was dyno'd at 97bhp? hmm...

That's kind of hard to believe. Basically all it claims to have done to it was to jet the carbs and install Supertrapp mufflers. He's got 42 bids and up to $6,600. I'm going to watch this item to see what it sells for.

Instead of including a picture of a fatty lighting a smog next to a Cobra kit car maybe he should have scanned in and posted the dyno results instead.

If his makes 97hp, mine must make 150hp.

Awfully hard to believe his claims.

42 bids? Somebody is buying it.

The power claim is hard to believe, but the weight loss!! By replacing my TBS wheels with Trophy wheels, eliminating the inner tubes, both air boxes, swapping the rear fender for a Baja designs set up, and swapping the tors for a set of Epco's my bike's total weight loss was just under 40#. So, according to this guy, he managed to lose another 70-80#! Lets see, if I don't eat for about a month and a half, I might be able to lose 50# off of my 230# carcass, I still can't even get close to his power to weight ratio! I sent him a question about his claims, let's see if he answers it. tommyturbo2

Mine must be worth $12,000. His claims are out of line! All he did was bob the rear fender. How does that put the bike at 400 #'s? 97 bhp with only a jet kit? My butt! Do what I did and ask questions that result in NO.

Bonnie & Thrux will believe anything with more power and the original classic design. Gotta be them.

Just got a notification that he lowered the reserve price but his reserve has not been met even though the bidding is up to 7g's.

I'm thinking about getting on Craigslist tomorrow and buying up ever Classic 900 I can for 3,000 and less....bob the fender and call it done!

I can't believe anyone would pay that much for a bike with missing airbox covers.....
