Yep! Have had to design and make new mounting points for the tail light assembly. Nothing major, just a bit of 'Kiwi' ingenuity using whatever rubber was lying around.

I have had my 2001 for 5 years now. My only issue was that my Tangen or Taiwan
starter failed at 10k miles. I was able to get a Japanese one here for $20. The Taiwan
starters are throw away. Other than that its just been oil changes, filters, brake pads and tires.

May I ask where you sourced the replacement? Was it from another make/model bike? Was there a manufacturer or part number on it?

Add 2/3 bad coils to the list as well. Went out at 9500 miles, but fixed at the dealer free. Otherwise, bike has been literally a dream, racking up 1000 after-work & weekend miles since then. Im getting some emgo pipes and a K&N filter for it to make her look as unique as she sounds. I wouldnt trade it for anything.

Hi just a note to say about levers being not adjustable,i have found that the reach for the front brake lever on my adventurer 2001 model a little far to say the least,my local motorcycle shop was verry helpfull and found a pattern suzuki lever fitted great,hey i now its not british but i can get a good hanfull when needed.
