Been away from the board for a few months and due to a computer meltdown can't recall what my old handle was. Someday I'll look at a thread and go, oh yea.... :-D

No matter, hope all had a good and safe riding year!

Getting ready to put the bike away for the winter and was wondering. Do you keep the battery on a low charge or let it go until the next season?

Thanks, Steve

I plug mine into an actual battery tender (YUASA Hotshot) for its sleey time. This year I am actually going to ride as much as I can this winter (not in freezing or on salted roads though). Crazy???

Works great.

Why stoping to ride in winter    A good DIY chain rear and a rope front and show must go on..

BTW back to the topic, if you plan not to use your trumpet during winter time, and not invest in aa Optimate, you can remove the battery, store it in a dry an tempared room, and make a monthly small load ( 1 hour ) at less than 10% of the nominal capacity which is 14A on T3..

Keep in mind to keep the water level ok..

Of course do not forget to flush the carb, ( put the petcock on off).. Better to have the fuel tank full ( you can add some aditives), overinflate the tyres, all the basic things

What? No spiked tires in France?

I used to drive in snow, mush and cold when I was a young pup but once I could afford a heater....

Thanks re: the charger, I'll look into it.
