I bought a 2003 TB earlier this year from a top UK dealer. On checking the tyre pressure recently both front and back were at 30 PSI. The book says 36/42 front/rear. It now seems to get more problems with road cracks / white lines.

I was just wondering what other people run there bikes at. I can't beleive that the pressure has dropped that much since I bought the bike

I/ve been running at 35 f/r for 30000 miles. get good wear out of my michelin macadams. I also have those valve stem caps that change color as pressure drops. I think you can get those at brookstone's. They give that assurance at a glance!

32/32 and check 'em before every ride.

36/38 mostly solo riding seems to get good even wear from Bridgestone 020's

It is usually recommended that you run them at Triumph spec for normal riding, and about 5 pounds lower for hard sport riding - fast twisties.

That being said, I run the front between 32 and 36, and the rear at 37 - 42 - depending on the ride.

I'm not going to start a tire pressure argument, so I'm not talkin'!

As to tire pressure dropping, the stock inner tubes on my Adventurer were cr*ap! The bike would loose 2-3 pounds in a week just sitting in the garage.

I think the originals were Metzlers, but when I changed tires I went to heavy-duty Continental tubes and now they'll only drop a pound or two a month.

LOL - many seasoned riders will tell you that tire pressure is a personal thing - depends on the rider, bike and the style of riding. When in doubt (or unsure), you are best to stick to the factory recommended settings. AND check the pressure regularly/daily.
