Does anyone have (or know where I can get) a nice simple graphic to use as a basis for a Thunderbird patch? I was thinking of borrowing heavily from the USAF Thunderbirds aerobatic team.

If I got such a patch, would anybody else here be interested in having one? We might be able to get some kind of volume discount if we order enough.

Did Triumph ever have a Thunderbird logo?

Yeah, I've seen the stylized "origami bird" on Ebay auctions and I have to say I don't like it too much. It looks like a pigeon or a dove, not the legendary Thunderbird of Native American mythology.

Tell me what you all think of this one. The Tbird was shamelessly stolen from a Thunderbird (car) site, the rest I did in Powerpoint:

I find the native american totem-style thunderbird icon is great, but it is very american, and I think it doesn't celebrate the British Heritage of the Triumph brand.

Though, I think the name was inspired classic americana from the stories I have read, so maybe it is appropriate afterall.

Have you tried the thunderbird silloette with the union jack colouring inside?

Really like the overall design - REALLY - but not that turquoise colour for the bird!
What about a colour more usually associated with the bike that would still stand out against the union jack background such as British racing green (good with the yellow Triumph) or gold or maroon?

Definitely interested in a buy!!

I dont understand this. Why do you want to advertise on your clothing?
Everypart on the bike has a Triumph logo, they do enough advertising themselves. I'm sorry if this offends but I just dont understand this mentality.

If you were really committed, truely staunch............

You'd get it tattooed on your butt!!!!!

Don't mind the design though...........however I'd never buy anything [except the bike and spare parts] that has that horrid Hinckley tail on the R to the H. It's way too McDonalds for me.

as in my previous post R to H appears to predate Hinckley (although not exactly the same).
