I can't believe you would want to do this to a Legend.
Certainly not without uprating suspension and brakes, anyway.

Save yourself a cartload of money & grief & buy a sportbike.

of course the suspension will be upgraded! the forks are away too soft. I have no complaints about the brakes. They whoa the bike down quite nicely. The bike is actually a bit scary at times on bumpy turns do to the forks. One of the forum members has Kawi inverted forks that look pretty good. I might consider that route.

I doubt you can fit a 955 engine but 955 pistons and liners have been done.. the guy that did it had a webpage years ago,I believe he also did his cams but its been years since I saw the page I remember he claimed 98 RWHP and about 30mpg!

actually i have found that at higher speeds in my upper gears my rev limiter dont do squat.. i was just talkin about that with my girlfriend the other day.. i said that it was peculiar that it kicks in in like first and and second.. but i know it doesnt do jack in fifth.. i havent really paid attention in third or fourth i suppose......

I don't know about the setup on the triumphs but other companies do have specific tunes for each gear (hayabusa for example).

Nothing like that on ours. There is no gear position sensor fitted so the Igniter does not know which gear is selected. The rev limit on our bikes is 8,750.

Don't know why you couldn't make 130mph (at least indicated) on a Legend. My Tbird Sport has a higher top speed in 5th than in 6th, and the Legend has the same ratios.

I have often considered doing this myself. Now it occurs to me how much easier an 18 tooth sprocket would be in comparison. Not sure why I had tunnel visioned so hard on obtaining the 6th gear.
