i bought a pair of the kissan all-in-one lights. they are halogen bulbs in a base that has the electronics to make the thing flash. i have the kissan module inline on my other bike and there is no difference other than the ease of just plugging in new (and brighter) bulbs.

Thanks.
It looks like it would be cheaper just to go with the module.

I gotta ask about this brake light modulation??

Not having heard of it before I did a web search/read and now understand what the idea is for headlight modulation, i.e. a flashing headlight for daytime safety.

There were no articles that I could find on the brake light other than ones about LED replacements.

Would one/some of you brethern in the States please enlighten me on the brake light modulation?

Stay safe
Bob

Similiarly to headlight modulation, brakelight modulation is done in order to gain the attention of a following vehicle. Example: When the brakes are applied the lights flash rapidly three times then go to a steady light. This is only one of the varied types. The whole point is to alert a following driver that you are slowing or stopping.

Thanks acejones.
Has this been around in the USA very long?
I hadn't heard of it before this thread and I sure like the safety aspect of it.
I will ask around if is being used in the UK,unless one of our Limey brothers already knows the answer.
How about it boys and girls, any takers in Europe/UK/Aus/NZ know about this.

Hi
Anything that gets the attention of our more dopey cardrivers must be a good thing. I bet it's illegal in the UK
One thing I saw recently on a pushbike was a flashing blue light at the front-it really made the bike noticeable. Does anyone use them on a motorbike?
Ultimately the only safe thing is to ride as if that driver is just plain blind or,sometimes, actually out to kill you like the woman in Scotland in another recent thread.

Hey-ho

Safe riding all

Pete
