[Subject should be SS Brake lines...]

At some point Triumph switched to putting Stainless Steel brake lines on the T-Birds... anyone know if this is true of my Legend as well? Anyone know when this was (model year or VIN#)?

Thanks.

I don't know if Legends ever had the non braided brake lines but mine (a 2000) definately does have braided lines. I think it was in 1999 that the TBirds changed so all Legends probably have braided lines but I can not verify that for sure.

The Thunderbird fiche shows the braided brakeline being fitted from VIN 41240.

Ciao,

Thanks for the replies. Not sure how the T-Bird VINs match up w/ the Legend, but I'll check tonight.

I don't think there were any changes to the Legend in it's 3-year existence, so if the 2000 has SS, I'm going to assume mine does as well

If they were ss, it would be easy enough to see. The plastic sleeve over them is only a loose fit. My '98 came with them, but because of the plastic cover I did not realise until I went out & bought a new braided brake line.
