Has anyone thought about getting the Mecatwin Norton styled exhaust pipes for their TBS's?

The lines of these pipes seem more appealing to my eye over the stubbier Triumph ones. I just wonder what they cost (I have emailed mecatwin so lets see what they say).

oooh I like those. Looks a bit similar to the outlet on the 3-1 system I am getting made. Maybe a little bigger though.
Nice. :-D

Probably somewhere around 850 bucks. MecaTwin make some great stuff...but they're a tad too expensive IMHO.

They look very hot.

Mmmm... that second pic makes me want to go rip off my fender. What's with the missing airbox, though? :???:

i am looking into getting some pipes from epco (www.epcostainless.com)

since one of the nuts for the exhuast bracket had broken loose from the inside of the pipe and i had to perform magic to get it back on the bolt.

Entropy, when do you expect to get them in and fitted on your bike? They look beautiful. I am really curious as to their sound.

you know what, i have been saying that for awhile (in my own mind) and just this past weekend i pulled my rear swing arm off to replace the rubbing strip as well as my sprockets and chain. when i pulled off the silencers to pull the arm i realized the p.i.t.a. bolt and nut on the bracket wouldn't tighten. since then i am bit more gung ho on getting them, but i also drilled my pipes (screws @ 2.5 turns out & a k&n) and since riding twice as much with my new found get up and go it has gone to the back of my head.

now, to answer your question...i don't know... i e-mailed (which i don't have anymore) a guy on this site a while back about them and he sent me some pics (which i don't have anymore either) and he said they sounded great and i thought they looked good. he had them styled a little different than the pics shown above but he said they can make whatever you want. i also called epco and the guy there, tom confirmed what i had heard and said all he needs is the original pipes to get them to fit correctly. oh, also it would probably cost about 4 bills....

also if it helps to find they guy who has them, he has/had a black and yellow 200? tbs.

fyi, i would get my pipes just like the ones above, i love the narrower, longer tips..

What kind of can will you be using for your 3-1 system? I found and bought a custom built 3-1 system with race can for TBS/Thunderbird on Ebay. I'll be installing in sometime soon.

hey vonbonds,
i was looking through some pics and i think i may have found the bike with the epco pipes on it. it may either be cityride or twocoasttb. i found a couple of their pics in the photo album under hinkley thunderbird sport, not in the member maintained album
