Right, now I've got your attention...
I've seen a couple of companies at a recent bikeshow who cut out your stock seat & put in gel pads, has anyone had this done? Thinking of having it done as I don't find the standard TBS seat the most comfy in the world!!

I thought of that too, until I tried a small pad of Tempur (gel-like material).
It felt like floating in the saddle, my arse kinda lost contact with the bike. I didn't like it at all.

edit: in the name of arse! You can say 'arse' without being sensored :-D

I had this done by a company called P&P seating, to which they restyled and formed my seat while they were at it. (not 'quite' full K&Q but more stepped than standard)

And have to say the seat is a bit firmer if anything and certainly does not feel like it is floating around - numb bum? Still get it, but not quite as fast, especially if combined with decent trousers.

Overall price was cheaper than a k&q even with a custom logo, and non slip covering. I did try their strap on pads for some time first, which was better than stock, but not (IMO) as good as having them fitted.
