Well my belt buckle bumps into my tank on the TBS so I thought I would go to the TRIUMPH DEALER to get or order a tank pad ( not knee pads ).
The " TRIUMPH DEALER " does not have one and cannot get one from Triumph even though the same pad goes on a 2004 TBS !!
One year out of production and already obsolete?
I see you can buy one from British Customs or J.L. but I have no credit card !
Does anyone know how someone in the U.S. can buy a tank pad for cash or a money order?
They sold me some generic clear stuff for $10 USD about .010 inch thick that is impossible to put on without fingerprints (you have to touch it to put it on ) or some other imperfection ( dirt , bugs, hair) getting under it.
Needless to say it now is in the trash!
What else will work? Does someone else make a tank pad that works?
I am not impressed with Triumph Dealers lack of concern for their customers needs especially when I bought the Bike at that Dealership 2 weeks ago.

Any help is appreciated,
Rodan

Go to one of the shops where they have Jap/motocross bikes, most of them have a fairly wide range of tank pads. The one on mine is for a motocross bike.I'll put up a picture shortly.
Tank Pad
I just put up a piccy of it for you

Found another Triumph Dealer 60 miles away from the one I bought the bike at and they had a tank pad Part # A9718002 in stock for $20 !

Thanks for your input because I had found a pretty nice pad at the Suzuki dealer but, before I bought it , they asked me if I had checked at the Canton,Ohio Triumph dealer !

Thanks Again,
Rodan
