I was not going to play with the carbs again this year but since I had a problem of air draft with the TBS air box with holes I decided to put back the Trophy box with a K&N filter. I changed the jetting to 142-138-142 and I did put 1/2 shim under the needles. With this set up I am now a little poor on top which will bring me to put the main jets at 146-142-146 and I will remove the shims in order to help the rich curve I have in the middle.

Up to now I can not get rid of that rich part between at5500 (on the chart may not be in life) The fuel air ratio is 10 to 1 for a short period of time. Further in the range with the 142 main I am now too lean at 14 to 1

I still get about the same HP at 87.4 instead of 87.7. That should reach 88 with the 146 jets. To my surprise I get 2 (ft-lbs) of torque more now sitting at 59.4

To get a more even fuel air ratio I may have to fiddle with something I am not familiar with. The different options are to fiddle around the level of gas in the carburator bowl, play with the neddle springs or with the slide opening.

I will give up there this year for the carburator and will work on my wheels.
