Roadster Windshield;
Pro’s; looks nice, and takes some wind off your neck and chest.
Cons; Major wind buffeting on helmet above 35mph. Better off naked! And Fork protectors MUST come off. Any minimal break dive and they slam into the windshield hardware.

Overall, unimpressed. Look for something cheaper and larger with more angle. The issues with buffeting can not be over stated.

I have been advised to get a windcreen since the day I picked up my Legend. I put it off initially because the original owner had installed the fly screen around the headlight and I really liked the look. (It's like the fly screen on the Thruxtons.)
After getting used to the wind, I don't think I would bother with the screen. Without it, the wind hits right (me) in the shoulder area which is not really a big deal. The windsceen will raise where the wind hits, but probably not enough to clear my head. Personally, I'd rather not have it rattling my helmet.
You might want to ride without for a while before you plunk down the cash. It might save you the money.

What Rat-sass said.

And I frankly don't like the looks of a screen either.
It'll come to me when I reach my GoldWing age.... :razz:

I am going to have to agree with Rat-Ass as well. The Legend is almost a cafe racer and they look retarded with the windshield. I say just wear a full face helmet and you will get all the portection you need from the wind. I would just keep natural.

I have a Roadster screen on my '99 Legend and find it fairly effective in reducing wind, although I still feel a bit battered at higher speeds. Having read the previous posts, I'm now curious as to how the m/c would feel without it. Don't think it looks as bad as someone else suggested. It's just a matter of taste, I guess.

I have the summer screen on my Legend and find that it really helps keep the wind off your torso frontal area at high speeds. It is small enough that it doesn't upset the balance of the bike but large enough to shield you from wind fatigue on a long trip. It does nothing for your head. With an open face helmet w/bubble your head rocks. So I use a full face and have no problem. In our part of the world you need full face protection of some sort to keep the bugs out of your teeth. I can't imagine riding any distance without some frontal protection.
