Question pods on legend

hi all -anybody got pod filters on a legend -what brand?needto rejet[ive got stock pipes-]?how do they sound-how does the bike look without the covers-any other mods needed -im due to change my air box- thinking it would be so much easier if i switched to pods- the rest of my bike is stock - but previous owner said he rejetted to get more torque[not sure how much he went up-need to dig in and look-]just looking for some input thanks mike....

did the same to mine slighly different jets in mine ( different air down here thinner ) and i have 3 into 1 you can get cheaper emgo type pods but i went with the k&n look great ( will get pics up for you later ) the kit number ( set of three ) is for a yamaha xs850 i picked them up brand new on ebay $65 us dollars my dealer wanted $195 aussie and 3 weeks to get them ! sounds sweet as

Just remembered something from a thread on the T3 Sport/Touring section. Someone was suggesting that another make of pods was a little better than the K&Ns, for filtration, name was Uniflow I think.

yep they flow a bit better but they are foam green or red so in my opinion they would look no where near as good thats my 2c anyway

Here's what K&N's look like:


I like it much better than the chrome side covers. I never liked those, to be honest. I've never tried them with stock exhaust, though, so I can't really comment on jetting recommendations.

My TBS had K&N pods on it with Stock exhaust when I bought it.

Jetting was 114 DynoJet mains and DynoJet needles
set to 3 notches from the bottom. It ran real good near sea level in Rhode Island. I brought it to Indiana about 800 ft. higher altitude.
I could not get it to Idle, so I went back to Stock with everything. I must admit I was much more interested in riding it than tinkering with the jetting, so I did not put much time into the tinkering.
