On my '02 Thunderbird there is an open bracket on the front fork tube - nothing is fastened to it. The dealer said something along the lines of "so many Triumphs share this type of frame that there must be something bolted there on one of the other models."

So, what's the real story? I know someone here will know.

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
900 & 1200 Daytonas and Trophys had fairing mounting brackets bolted there.

So the dealer was correct.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check a Daytona or Trophy next time I'm in the shop.
