Remounting Engine in 95 Tbird after clutch repair

Need some help with suggestions for remounting the engine of a 95 Tbird after repairing the sprag clutch. We're trying to follow the instructions in the workshop manual which recommend attaching the front bolts first and then jacking the engine into place to attach the rear bolts, however the rear bolts aren't lining up properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions for hoisting the engine into proper position?

Is it possible the the frame may have shifted after the engine was removed? The reason I ask is that it appears that the engine is getting hung up on one of the rear mounts when we're trying to get it back in place.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Hooking up the front bolts first is the way to go. Most likely, the problem you have at the rear is because of the swingarm/suspension thingos. Before fitting the engine, make sure that the wheel is under exactly the right load/in position that at least the lower or uppr bolts will line up perfectly. From there on, it's a piece of cake

The rear plates can move around once the bolts are out, that's probably what is catching you out.You may have to jiggle them around as you lift the engine into place.
