Frame Sliders 4 T-Bird Sport

Hi folks, a friend of mine just got a 99 T-Bird Sport, and he's new to all this, so I'm looking around for a few things for him.

One of them are frame sliders. On my bike (a 2002 Suzuki SV 650) I can get frame sliders that mount right THROUGH the engine block. Are there similar sliders for the 'Sport? If not, what are the most recommended sliders you folks like for the 'Sport?

Thanks for taking a moment to read this.

I think the ONLY frame sliders made specifically for our bikes come from Sky King. I have them, and have been mostly pleased - except that the plastic faded rather quickly.

You may be able to retrofit some others. Don't know what you mean about mounting through the block though - that would tend to let all the oil run out...

Thanks for your reply.

Perhaps a poor choice of words on my part. I suppose a picture is worth a thousand words:

As you can see, this is a very effective slider. It stands less of a chance of breaking off if you should go down.

Depending on a bike's design, this may not be possible. I'll check out the Sky King units. Thanks again.

If the bike has the mounts for the forward pegs on the front of the engine block, you may be able to make something like this work.....
