Still has a rear suspension, so technically not a bobber...
There was a thread on a few months back about brat bikes...
I don't think anyone has added a hard tail yet that I know of. Lots of chopped fenders. Nice job though! Kinda looks like an Adventurer. What are your plans for turn signals?

I just cut it off just above the stock taillight; where the stock fender gets, um, lumpy. I just hated the look of the stock stuff back there. The seat will probably as-is. I might carry a pillion once in a while, plus getting into subframe hacking is beyond what I want to do. Turn sigs, I dunno. They're not req'd on bikes here.

i don't know how much your rear shock compresses but i'd definitely suggest lowering it as much as possible. it'll give it that bobber look you're going for cause right now it just looks like a TBS (no offense to your excellent fender work!) you should also pick up some Super Gaiters from BellaCorse, that'll accent the retro look. i plan on doing the same to my Legend once i do the forks

Good chop job. I took 9 inches off mine. I wouldn't lower the rear suspension or go for a hard tail look. Try lowering the triple tree on the forks until the top of the forks almost touch the handlebars and leave the rear jacked up. I think it improves the handling.

Hmm, interesting. You might want to get some small bullets, though, unless you never plan to leave the state!
I'd leave the suspension as is. Looks good to me! The rear brakes kinda jump out at ya now though. Maybe the 885 Daytona set up would hide them better...

Here is the link on Brat bikes. They are essentially bobbers with rear suspension, for places where unsuspended bikes are not legal:

I guess that bobbers should have hard tails because that's what most bikes had when the genre first appeared. Generally, a bobber is a bike where as much as possible has been removed in order to improve performance. Removing the suspension won't improve performance apart from acceleration, so useful for drag racing only.
A brat bike sounds much more sensible. Better looking too
