gearshifter

Hi all!
I canīt find a gearshifter to a crf/cr50 for my 2000 Legend, I can find a shifter for a cr80, but does anyone know if it will fit a Legend with the splines??
I live in Sweden so order one from abroad will be too expensive for just a shifter.

But I really would like to have a folding shifter, anyone found something that will work!!

Regards

If you broke your old one, consider getting it welded back together.

I bought an aftermarket shifter but can't remember who made it. I think if you search "broken shifter shaft" on this forum you will find a photo and part number. That's where I got my info. HTH

I know about the CR/70 shifter, but I have not found it in Sweden, I can only find the shifter for a CR/80, and I donīt know if that will fit.

Otherwise Iīll just have to order one from abroad, cheeper than repairing a brokenn shifter shaft.

You could also weaken the stock lever so that it breaks in a fall, rather than the shaft breaking. That is the problem, the lever is stronger than the shaft.

Today I drilled a line of holes in mine, hopefully enough to weaken it so that it becomes the sacrificial part if the bike ever goes down.
