300,000 miles and a bit

Hi All
I've been having a life crisis so have been away from these fine pages for a while. (my wife died)
My '93 Trident has not suffered the same loss fortunately so during my bewildered state has accompanied me all over the known world (roughly) - I gave up the day job.
Russia was the harshest place I ever saw and petrol is carburrettor unfriendly and rots clothing
USA is big and wonderful, Australia magnificent - I have some good memories.
Anyway the mighty T309 is running at 94 bhp at the back wheel - looks a little scruffy but has only eaten a coil and a side stand switch and wheel bearings in the last 170k miles plus the usual oil and consumables.
Never dreamed a bike could have clocked this mileage.
It might only be steel, alloys and plastic but it's mine.
Anyone need a 43 year old Accountant/Engineer ?

Hi Ben, firstly sorry for your loss............

You sound to have made an epic journey........are you going to write a book?

I bet triumph will buy your bike back to pull it apart and look at it.........I bet there can't be many/any that have covered that mileage....

When you have time, I'd like to hear more about your journey.

Regards

Rob

Ben, sorry to hear about your loss. Your adventure sounds like just what you needed to lift your spirits.

It's also nice to hear about the mileage on your Trident. Good to hear what these motors are capable of.

My sympathies concerning your loss Ben. What have you had in the Trident crankcase over the 300K?

300K ! Wow...

Condolences for your loss.

I have just over 80K on my T-bird and it still runs great. Plugs still look healthy, and I have been telling people that the bike still has lots of miles left. Your story gives me hope that I can get that many out of my bike.

Some pix of your trip would be great.......
