Now I've done it...
Was trying to take off my airbox and one of the band clamps that fasten the airbox to the carb was really tight... and you guessed it, stripped it out good.
It's kind of a tight squeeze up in there, so it's very difficult to get a grip on it with pliers or channel locks, plus there's not much turning room either. I tried putting in the next size up (it WAS a 3mm) and I can't back it up well enough to tap in the oversized one (I doubt it'll work anyway: it is really, really tight!)

This all started because I've been having a fuel leak somewhere (I think) aroudn where the fuel line connects to the carbs. If anyone else has had this problem, I'd be interested in talking to you.

Any suggestions at all? :???:

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
I suggest that with the tank removed you use a dremel or hacksaw blade and carefully cut through the band - they shouldnt bee too expensive to replace as they are essentially just cheap hose clips.
