Well I just learned about how it is not real easy to change the air filter on these triples....DO I have to take the carbs off to change the air filter
I have to set aside time to do this...how long in general to do this.....I am pissed as I had it to the shop to get valves checked and carbs cleaned......could have had him pop a new filter in. Figured a new air filter would be a 5 min change well I guess my triumph engineer buddys had other ideas...just read it in the haynes manual
I always thought it would be a right spiffy idea to cut the end of the air box(maybe a dremel tool) just enough to remove the filter...then reseal with maybe a velcro strap or some other means...aka duck tape....just to simplfy the job for next time....but I replaced mine with a K&N not that long ago...so I am good for a while...Tom
I am always tempted by ways to make things easier maybe cutit and then use nascar tape on it after the filter I re-inserted.
