I saw a Legend yesterday that had frame sliders on it. Since the only crash bars I've found are WAY ugly and cost >$300, might anyone know who/where I can find these sliders???? Help!

Sky King carries them. I have a set on my T-Bird.

Scot,

Thanks for the reply. So these are a simple bolt-on with no mods required? Maybe this is a dumb question, but do they come with installation instructions? Should be a 5 minute job, right?

Thanks,

meinschaft

meinschaft -

The installation is a breeze - five minutes max (between beers!)

They don't stick out as far as I would like (having dropped a T-Sport before), but they look boss on my 1999.

What exactly is the purpose of them? Don't mean to sound dumb. I saw them on a bike recently, and should have asked the rider then.

Thanks!

So when your bike falls down and slides along the asphalt, it slides on the Frame Sliders rather than on the painted and shiney parts.

Generally, more popular on Sports Bikes to keep all the squid's plastic pieces from getting ripped to shreds.
