Has anyone tried the Predator cans shown on http://www.predatormotorsport.co.uk/ - £307.88 a pair including all the bits in s/s - they claim an extra 6bhp and a big weight saving! The picture isn't very clear, so if anyone has one - could they post a better pic? I've found performance pipes are a bit rare for the TBS, the only others I've found (apart from the Triumph ones) are Staintune - and they won't be releasing a set for the 03 TBS for a few mor months.... I guess there may be others available in the US?

Aloha,

I looked at the the site, only the Triumph Road link was working for me, the Triumph Sport was not. If you look at the product part numbers they are the same cans used on the other models. The fact that they are stainless steel is a plus. From the information it's doubtful that the cans are purpose built for the TBS.

http://www.danddexhaust.com/ does not show 2000 + put you might give them a shout.
http://www.normanhyde.co.uk/togatriumph.htm while not specific for the TBS, several TB and TBS owners have fitted Toga 1)to retain the classic look and 2)they are loud.
http://www.emgo.com/ supplies inexpensive chromed silencers through MC shops and mail order. Several of the sets come with adaptors to fit the TBS downpipes. You have to fiddle with the mounting points.

http://sarasota.bizland.com/epco/about.htm will build you as set. One TBS owner has done so, now Epco has to pattern to build additional units. I was about to do the same until I found out Staintune had lowered the price on their purpose built set.

http://www.sprintmanufacturing.co.uk/ A T TBS R member has fitted Sprints 3-1 system on to his 03 TBS. It was a chore but it worked. You will have to purchase the lower water pipe for the Speed Triple to gain clearance for the downpipe on that side.

If you received word from Staintune that they will be doing a 2000 + system then I recommend waiting for it. I have the 3-4-2-1 for my 98 and am very satisfied.

Gary,

Cheers mate. Maybe I'll wait for the Staintune ones then - I think they may be a bit more expensive, but I hope they give some power figures. Hopefully they'll look the same as the originals too - unlike the Predator ones!
