Replacement of back light and mirrors

I don't think I am going to chop the end off the bike but I do want to replace the big bulbous back light. Has anyone a nice alternative to existing light and a website to purchase it from.

Mirrors, don't want to get bar ends as do a lot of filtering when commuting so looking for suggestions for alternatives to existing ones.

Cheers,

Niall

AFAICT, any 'regular' mirrors are always going to give you great shots of your shoulders, or of an irrelevant area way off to the sides, and little else.

For lane-splitting, take a look at Triumph-branded bar-ends; wait for it, they're not traditional bar-ends; they add essentially nothing to the bike's draft, perhaps 3/8"ths or so, the mirrors themselves ride a few inches below (or I suppose above could be an option) the grips. So nothing's sticking out.

That said, CRG hindsight lanesplitters aren't bad; very quick to fold out of the way for narrow passages.

EDIT: As for the back light, I used an R1 rear fender and led-based light; it frankly looks like crud, as the light's an odd diamond taper thing, and looks way out of place. But for me the fender was the big ugh, not so much the brake light - but no way to use the old light on the new fender.

Tail Light

I am real close to ordering a Lucas type tail light from New Bonneville with their retro rear signal lights, but I need to rationalize the fact that the original rear light has two 1157 bulbs while the Lucas type light has only one bulb. Maybe a high output LED???

Just the 2 cents from an old timer who hasn't been run over yet, a big, bright taillight is not a bad thing.
Actually it compliments my bright yellow riding jacket.
