TB verses TBS

I had a wonderful 5 hours on a Thunderbird Sport about a month ago... unfortunately, someone decided to pull out in front of me before I even got the bike home. But in those 5 hours, I fell in love with the engine and handling!!!!

So now I need to find another Thunderbird... but what exactly are the differences between the Thunderbird and the Thunderbird Sport??? From the looks of it, they are very similar... with the black TBS engine being the most obvious. But, I can't find any specs that are reliable (different numbers everywhere I go).

What's the motor, tranny, and suspension differences??

I guess I should ask about the Legend also... it's a looker too...

Thanks in advance.

The TBS has twin discs, six gears, adjustable suspension both ends, flatter bars and 17" wheels. That's about it really. On paper it makes a few more hp but the general feeling is that is marketing hp, not real hp.

The Thunderbirds have 5 speed box (6 from '99 on), 16" rear 18" front wheels, higher bars, non adjustable suspension and a little less power (on paper).

The Legend was meant to be a budget Thunderbird, it has a lower seat height and 17" wheels.

And a cool black motor like the TBS.
