This the first time I submit a question on your site.

I just bought a 1996 Adventurer. I adjusted the valves and noticed that the cams are of the green kind. Are they original on this model and if not what of plugs should I put in.

Thank you in advance

Michel

Hi Michel,

Green cams are normal on an Adventurer.

AKAIK the Tbirds got the blue cams and the speed triples and the higher performance bikes got the green cams.

The "blue" swatch on the stock cams looks pretty green after some oil exposure so you need to compare profiles to be sure.

If the image below works then look at the end of your cams and compare the two to your cams. The blunt one is the "green" cam and the pointy one is the "blue" cam.

If the image doesn't work, e-mail me and I'll send you a copy.
