You realise that the stock tbs rearsets effectively turn your gearbox upside down???

So unless your used to riding a Norton, you'll be banging it into all sorts of gears.

The solution is an aftermarket rearset package that retains the original 1 up 4/5 down. I've seen this setup on Cuppa500's TB.

They are fairly easily modified to resotre the 1 down 5 up arrangement, and even clear the exhaust header.

Yep, since the TBS uses linkage just flip the bar and connector over and your shift pattern will be correct.

you have to replace the joints and move them to the inboard side of the levers in order to get clearance for the TBird headers. I did this before I swapped to TBS pipes, you can still see it in my latest pictures. You actually get an improvement in the action too as the joints Triumph use are very sloppy.

Edit: Here's a picture of my revised linkage. Although I no longer have the stock TBird pipes, I kept the modified linkage as it was:

Wrong oh chundering one! :-D
The rearsets on my TB are stock TBS items, albeit with the gearchange inkage upside down. Retaining stock gearchange pattern.I cut a small hole in the pipe welded in a new plate & rechromed,to give clearance for the linkage. Photo in my Photo Album.

do you think it would just be easier and more time efficient to just spend the $300 and order the ones from the uk to fit my bike? it doesn't seem like anyone out there has any to get rid of.
