Hi, I am pretty unhappy about this but I will be selling my Tbird. See my ad in the classified section.

I have had increasing numbness in my feet the past three years. There are times when shifting and using the rear brake become problematic. I am going to look into the new large scooters, which do not require shifting and use an integrated braking system.

You guys and gals have been really good to me and I will miss you when the Tbird is sold and I'm no longer a "T-Rat".

Monte

I shortened this post because it sounded like I was complaining too much. I have much to be thankful for.

PS: Thanks, Mick.

Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
Monte, I'm truely sorry to hear this. I would hate for something like this to part me from my Thunderbird.

the shifting could be sorted relatively easily (adding a remote electronic shift as per racign bikes), but the brakes would be harder. I guess it might be possible to adapt the linking system from a different machine, but I certainly haven't tried it.

I hope you stick around (the general forums at least) after you sell.

Monte,
I am sorry for the troubles you are having. But I'm glad to see you haven't given up on riding all together.

And just because you are not riding a Triumph doesn't meen that you can't add to this forum.

We all wish you well.

The BMW R1150R has an integrated brake system. I have it on my beemer and the front brake lever works both brakes. It is a hi-tech system that works well. I bet there is a way to convert the shifter to someting that would work for you. Good luck and remember if there is a will there is a way. You will be able to find a solution that will allow you to keep riding if you really want it.

Best of luck - Tom
