High Temp Clear on Stainless Headers?

After the riding last year and a winter spent outside, my Thunderbike headers looked more corroded than I thought possible for stainless. It looked like both rust and discoloration. Anyways, I spent two days polishing with a buffing wheel and got them back to beautiful.

I'd like them to stay that way.
Anyone have any ideas?
I was considering high temp clear, but have no experience with it and don't want to cause myself more problems.

Wrenching time is over, riding season is upon me!

I haven't seen anyone mention doing this.

Why don't you be the first?

stainless will oxidize / rust, but it is at a low level and usually confined to the surface and it usually requires salts/ minerals to do so.

If you use steel wool or a steel wire brush on stainless it will surface rust.
Use stainless brushes and wool only.
