Cover for my Legend...

I found a posting on Craigslist with no pictures, this was the description"

"O.E.M Triumph vinyl cover. Fits Bonneville or similar type bike. Dark green with Triumph logo."

Anyone familiar with this cover? I'd love to buy it, does anyone know if it will fit a Legend? Or if it's waterproof?

I bought a waterproof cover at Pep Boys for $40.

It fits great with or without the windshield on.

I ended up buying it for $40. We agreed on $50, but I found a couple of small holes towards the bottom (burns) and haggled a bit. It's in good shape though, hopefully it will keep my Legend dry when it rains this spring/summer. Garage storage will be a must for the New England winter.

Part# on the inside tag is A9930001

I remember that one. It was billed as a dust cover, really. I don't know how much it will provide in the way of water protection. Maybe an after market spray on for the fabric? Either way, looks good with the Triumph logo emblazoned across the whole side of the bike

Using the part number, I found an old link to a picture/description:

http://www.gerhardmoerk.de/neue/teil...bdeckplane.htm

The translation reads:

"Sturdy tarpaulin for the protection of your motorcycle from wind and weather."

Right now I have the cover lying green side up, with one section flat on the floor. I poured about a 6" circle of water onto it. It seems to be holding the water fine, I'm going to let it sit for an hour or so.

The only thing I ever cover my bike with is the seat of my pants - too rare and beautiful to leave out under a cover

Having garage space is a blessing. Unfortunately I rent an apartment, so my Legend will be living outdoors.

I like the guys who say my bike has never seen rain! So that tells me they really don't ride them! Once the anti skid is swept off the roads & till the snow flys again in western Pa it is time to ride. Rain or shine.
