Check out EBAY now and then but these are going used for 600USD at times. I looked for a year and finally gave up and ended up aletering an Adventurer seat and put that on my Tbird. Good luck!

the TBS subframes frames weren't modified like the TB ones so you are good. You will have to move the latch pawl assuming you have a latch at all. If you dont you will have to move the pawl and get a latch - the late TBs had mounts on the frame for a latch - your biggest challenge will be the keylock, for which you will have to drill the sidecover. That is unless you want to rig up some other way of triggering the latch, or attach brackets to the solo seat to bolt it on using the late TB seat bolts. If you go the latter route make sure you over engineer it - dont want any of it coming loose while you ride, that could be very dangerous.

Mick asks the important question about fit up - does your current stock seat lock or bolt?

Some of the 99 bikes could have been leftover from the '98 build. Those may have set locks....
