Front Fork Seal

I am going to replace my fork seals and will need to replace one of the fork tubes as it has a nick in it. Anything I should know?

Better start saving your money for the fork tube

Seriously, here's an article I found on seal removal. Haven't had to do this yet myself, so I can't attest to how well it works.

Did you mean Frank's forks?
Just that I haven't heard of Freds.
Frank's has been around since dirt.
If the nick is not too bad you can use a diamond stone to get the high spot off and then polish the tube.
If you can post a picture of the nick we might be able to tell ya how much luck you'll have doing it yourself.

If Frank's can't hook you up let me know. I had both tubes off my 98 TBS replaced via a Canadian vintage Triumph dealer/breaker who had them made in the US. A pair was only $300 custom built at the time.

Cheers!

Fork Seal Replacement, '99 Thunderbird Sport

I've noticed a small amount of oil on my fork, so it's time for new seals. I want to purchase parts in advance and am looking at an exploded diagram. I plan to get

2 ea. Oil Seal
2 ea. Washer, Oil Seal
2 ea. Dust Seal
2 ea. Sealing washer (for drain bolt)

What else should I replace while I have the forks apart?
Slider Bushing ?
Snap Ring?
