Can I swap these engines into my Thunderbird?

Hi,

I have a '96 Thunderbird with a blown engine, I was wondering if either of these will bolt in.

If you have any other ideas for how I could source an engine I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Dustin

This one would work for you, looks like it was in a Legend.

Yep, I'm with Bonds - 1st one should bolt right up.

2nd one is an EFI motor - doubtful donor.

Yep, number one bolts right up.

The other one would not fit the frame mounting points.

Yeah, but the second one sure would be a fun project to make it work.

The problem with the Legend motor is that it's in England. Dritalin doesn't have a location with his profile so I don't know what side of the pond he/she is on.

Just remember; an awful lot of the free advice you will get on forums is worth exactly what you paid for it. There will always be somebody trying to convince you to do something really stupid, just because they did it or want to do it.

Legend motor does look a little rough though. Looks like it is all closed up, but you might be getting more problems than solutions. Buyer beware......
