Hey all-

Sorry if this topic has been covered before....I couldn't find anything about it specifically in my searches.

I've got a 2000 TBird and notice that when I roll off the throttle while still in gear (any gear), I can hear a squeaking, chirping sound as the bike slows.

I don't hear it while riding (at any speed) and if I squeeze the clutch lever or put it in neutral, it goes away.

I thought it was coming from the front wheel/break, but a buddy thinks it's a normal Triumph exhaust sound. I don't have a center stand, so I haven't been able to put it up and really test it out. It's starting to drive me nuts and I'm tempted to bring it to a dealer to have it looked at, but I don't really trust the one near me.

Has anyone heard of something similar before? I'll probably still bring it in to have it checked professionally, but I'd like to have an idea of what to tell them when I do.

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
if it's the exhaust you would likely hear it if you revved it at a standstill out of gear, you wouldnt need a sidestand.
