The chrome face plate on the gages of my '96 Adventurer is pitted and I would like to buy a new one. But, I can't locate one. BikeBandit sells black ones (according to their website) but not the chrome one. Does anyone know where I can buy a new chrome face plate?

Boy or boy is that going to be a tough one. Unless someone knows of another source eBay will be your friend. You might be better off getting your existing ones cleaned up and re-chromed. As time goes along the non mechanical parts for our bikes will be in shorter and shorter supply.

I picked one up from the dealer that sold me my T-bird in September 2008. They had it laying around the parts department and apparently couldn't sell it to anyone else. It's only been on my bike for about 4 months, so it's not far from being new. I'm not really thrilled by chrome so I'd consider trading it for a center stand spring and a set of exhaust pipe sealing rings so I can mount the used center stand I recently bought. The closest Triumph dealer to me is over three hours away, so if you live closer to a dealer than I do and are interested in trading parts, drop me a PM.

I'd check some salvage yards to see if they have any T-birds being parted out. Some of them list on e-bay.

I got mine from a company parting out a '98 on ebay. It wasn't listed but I emailed him and asked. You might try that.
