I want to give my TBird a cafe racer look and was wondering if anyone has come across a rear fender elimination kit that is suitable for use on the TBird.

I know about the the Ascot kits but as its French & pricey I have a problem putting this on my Triumph. Feedback appreciated.

Just an idea but how about a single race seat with cowl and take of the fender?

I am considering making one myself. I think that the Mecatwin one is not that complicated.

I did look at this to decide if I could do something and the first thing would be to drill the rivet that are holding the fender to the mud guard. If you want to put back the fender, it would only be 4 screws to put back.

I have to make one that is no permanent and I want to be able to go back to the original style. Sometimes I ride 2 up.

If you have a solo seat, it should be fairly easy to use some alunimium about 1.5 mm thick and make a band that would cover the frame, there are actually some holes where you could put some screws. I was thinking of getting this aluminium about 10 inches wide in order to have something to put the light and the plate. The side parts would need to be about 3 inches wide and you have everything covered.
Basically the part could be in one piece, folded in 2 places for the light and continuing on the side. The back light and blinker attached to it so that in 10 minutes you are back looking original.

I will get around doing that later, if successfull, I will post a picture.

I'm also interested in mag wheels myself, I'm looking for something that's just plug& play . The only mod I want to think about
I looked at you photo album and I was eventually going to ask if you have a close up picture of the bracket under the seat, now that you are offering, I would take one for sure.

Once again you did a hell of a job of that bike.
