I need to apologize to Jan if my comments about his fabricated gas cap seemed harsh. I didn't intend them to be. Jan, the cap you made is beautiful and really a very good idea on your part. Unfortunately, I have no skills or equipment, or access to the equipment to make such a part.

Have to thank Jan for the great filter pics, these are worth keeping in the tips and tricks sub-forum. When this thread goes cold I'll move them out to their own thread.

Ride on !

The filter pics were extracted from this thread and put into their own thread named 'Pics of gas tap and filters - Thunderbird class' in the above subforum 'Maintenance tips and tricks for the T3 Classic'

I think i misunderstood your post.
I think in Dutch en write in Englisch, not a good combination,no hard feelings.

One tip you must pay attention , no chipping paint of fueltank, but black paint of engine.(cothing)
Intake manifolds.(foto,s) TBS 1998 30000 KM.
When you have a black engine.

Cheers jan.

I understand the skill issue, Mag, but you do realise that the only tools this requires is a hack saw, a few files, and some sandpaper? Maybe a hand drill and bit if you want to add the dimples. Aluminum is really easy to work with.

I am searching for a scrap of billet around here as we speak - we'll see how it turns out!
