Decibel killers
I installed the TORīs on my legend yesterday, about 3 turns on the a/f screw, itīs getting close to run smooth.
However, it is too loud, sounds like a machingun, I want a throatier sound, has anyone tried decibel killers?
I seen different types, long, about 200mm and the short ones about 50 mm long(HighwayHawks sell them), but do they work?
I do not want the sewmachine pipes, but slightly less noisy TORīs.
Regards JT

I am afraid I can't help on finding the things you are after, but you may find that once the engine is warm the noise does decrease somewhat.
My Rayguns sound a little raw until the engine is properly warmed up.

I guess Iīll wait and hear if it gets better, I like the sound, but little less would be great.

Now there is something I simply cannot get on with.
I tried them and found them painful & disorientating.
I managed them for thirty miles, then took them out & slung them.

Try the foam disposables or the moldable swimmers earplugs. You may have better luck with them.

They were the foam disposables.
Agony after about half an hour.
TBH I have no desire to repeat the experience.

I liked that answer.
Put on straight pipes to annoy the world and wear earplugs to put up with what you've done to us.
Why do you guys make perfectly good stock bikes unroadworthy?

Just want a more deep sound from the bike, not loud, but nice!

TOR's v 3 into 1
My scoot arrived with TOR's fitted. Sounded loud, and that was it! Replaced with a Thunderbike 3 into 1 complete system. Now sounds like my old T160 ' like ripping canvas'. A great, deep, healthy roar.
If you wish to hear them go to www.thunderbike.co.nz website where they have recordings all set up.
